Bio - Leah Verhulst
Hi, my name is Leah, and I'm excited to share my journey with you!
I grew up in London, Ontario, and left right after completing high school, which sparked a passion within me to explore. Over the next 15 years, I worked in Toronto's bustling restaurant scene, where I served tables, bartended, and managed large service teams. It was during this time that I discovered my love for hospitality and culinary arts, which became a significant part of my life.
Travel
My partner Simon and I share a thirst for adventure and curiosity, which led us to travel extensively to various destinations around the world. After each trip, we would spin a globe and pick a new location to explore, allowing the path to unfold as we journeyed along.
From the awe-inspiring Mayan temples in Guatemala to the serene houseboats in Kerala, India, and the breathtaking hiking trails in Cinque Terre, Italy, every new place we visited deepened my appreciation for the beauty of our world.
At Home
When I'm not traveling, I enjoy gardening, reading biographies, and browsing travel books. After 15 years in Toronto, I returned to my hometown of London, Ontario, where I currently lead a slower-paced life as a busy mother to my wonderful daughter.
Sharing my passion for cooking and culture with my family, particularly my daughter, is an essential aspect of my life. I believe that life is all about embracing new experiences, meeting new people, and trying new things.
My journey has taught me to appreciate the world's beauty and the people who make it.
