How is this different from therapy?
This program is not ongoing therapy. Instead, it’s a structured 6-week program designed to give you practical skills for managing anxiety. You’ll learn step by step, using a workbook and guided sessions.
If you’d like more in-depth or ongoing support after the program, you’ll have the option to continue in regular therapy with one of our therapists.
Why Our Program Helps with Anxiety
Anxiety often tricks us into fighting, avoiding, or overthinking, but the harder we push it away, the stronger it feels. ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) takes a different approach.
Instead of trying to eliminate anxiety, ACT teaches you how to:
- Notice your anxious thoughts without letting them take over.
- Ground yourself in the present moment through mindfulness.
- Clarify your values – the things that truly matter to you.
- Make small, powerful choices that move you toward the life you want, even when anxiety shows up.
This program uses ACT because research shows it’s highly effective for anxiety, stress, and worry, and because it gives you practical tools you can use right away.
I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t work. Why would this be different?
This program is short, focused, and practical. You’ll learn mindfulness and values-based tools you can use right away – not just in sessions, but in your daily life.
