What Therapy Is Really Like

Why talk to a therapist when I could just talk to friend?
Therapy Isn't Just A conversation
Friends are vital sources of connection and support – but therapy offers something more structured, intentional, and focused entirely on you.
In therapy, you don’t have to perform, reciprocate, or hold space for anyone else. You get a space that’s nonjudgmental, confidential, and led by someone trained to help you explore the deeper patterns behind your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.
Where friendship often focuses on support, therapy helps you move toward insight and change. Both are valuable—but they aren’t interchangeable.
