What to Expect
We start with a free 20-minute phone consultation with a member of our team. Once you request a consult, you’ll receive a short intake questionnaire to help us learn a little more about your needs. Nothing too personal, just enough to make your time with us as helpful as possible.
When it’s time for your consult, we’ll call you directly, no need to download anything or wait on hold. It’s a low-pressure, no-obligation conversation where you can ask questions, share what’s been going on, and get a feel for how we work.
If it feels like a good fit, we’ll thoughtfully match you with a therapist based on your goals, preferences, and life experience, not just who’s available. From there, you’ll be invited to book your first session, where you and your therapist will begin building a supportive relationship and mapping out a direction-together.
Words We Live By: Healing starts with a conversation. That conversation starts with trust.
Our Approach
We don’t believe healing happens in a vacuum or on a strict timeline. Most people come to therapy carrying more than just symptoms. They carry stories they’ve had to hold alone, patterns they’ve outgrown, and versions of themselves they no longer want to be.
At PMPTherapy, our approach starts with relationship, not labels, not pressure, and not performance. We get curious about what your mind and body have been trying to manage. We notice what’s keeping you stuck. And we move at your pace, not ours.
We use structured, evidence-based approaches, but we’re not rigid about it. Whether we’re using EMDR to process overwhelming memories, exploring your internal “parts” with IFS, or using ACT to help you stay anchored to your values, our goal is always the same: to support your nervous system in feeling safer, stronger, and more connected to who you are.
Some sessions are spacious and quiet. Others are active and focused. Some weeks, progress might feel bold. Other times, it might look like simply showing up. We’re here for all of it-with curiosity, care, and clinical grounding.
Therapy isn't about fixing you. It's about making space for who you are underneath the fear, the burnout, the people-pleasing, or the survival mode you've had to live in.
What Makes Us Different
We’re not a big agency. We don’t do generic. And we’re not here to give you a checklist of coping skills and send you on your way.
What sets PMPTherapy apart is our commitment to doing the deeper work, with care, clarity, and collaboration. We’re a small team of therapists who believe the quality of the relationship matters as much as the tools we use. Whether you’re working with a senior therapist or a therapist-in-training, you’ll be met with presence, professionalism, and respect.
We’re also a teaching clinic, which means we train emerging therapists while maintaining the highest standards of supervision and care. That allows us to offer reduced-fee therapy without compromising on quality-and to shape the next generation of trauma-informed clinicians.
We stay up-to-date on the science. We invest in ongoing education. But most of all, we show up with real humans helping real humans, not just diagnoses, protocols, or treatment plans.
You don’t need to be in crisis to ask for support. Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just not like yourself is reason enough to reach out.
At the heart of our work is the belief that therapy should feel like something you can exhale into. A space where you don’t have to explain your entire history just to feel understood. We’re not here to pathologize your pain. We’re here to witness it, work with it, and help you move through it-at your pace, and in your way.
Before the healing, there’s usually a pause. We help you take that next breath.
