Clinical Supervision

Support That’s Structured, Collaborative, and Real

Clinical supervision is more than just checking a box, it’s a space to grow your skills, strengthen your voice, and feel supported in the complexities of the work. Whether you’re in practicum, collecting hours as an RP(Q), or deepening your practice as a registered clinician, supervision at Private Matters Psychotherapy is designed to meet you where you are.

Together, we’ll focus on your clinical development, explore the dynamics that show up in the room (and in you), and create space for reflection, clarity, and confidence, without judgment or hierarchy.

Clinical Supervisor & EMDR Consultant.

Meet Marleen

I’m a Registered Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor, and the founder of Private Matters Psychotherapy. I’ve been working in the field of psychology and mental health for over 17 years and completed a CRPO-recognized supervisor training in 2018. I support therapists at all stages of their career: practicum students, RPQs, RPs, and RSWs, who want supervision that’s structured, reflective, and deeply collaborative.

My approach to supervision is grounded in trauma-informed and attachment-focused care, with a strong foundation in ACT, CBT, narrative, mindfulness-based therapies, and parts work. But beyond theory, I believe supervision should be a space where nuance is welcome, where you can show up with clinical questions and the human stuff that lives underneath them.

My goal is to help you build confidence, hold steady boundaries, deepen your clinical insight, and stay connected to the kind of therapist you want to be.

Supervision Formats & Rates

Clinical supervision at Private Matters Psychotherapy is designed to meet you where you are at. Whether you’re looking for in-depth one-on-one support or the energy of a group space, we offer a range of flexible options:

Individual Supervision - $210 / 60 minutes

Focused, personalized, and tailored to your goals. Ideal for in-depth case work, documentation support, or navigating clinical and professional transitions.

Dyadic Supervision - $105 / 60 minutes

A shared format for two therapists at a similar stage in their development. Offers peer learning with the benefits of individualized feedback and attention.

Small Group Supervision (Max 4) - $80 / 90 minutes

Intimate, focused, and collaborative. Great for exploring cases together, reflecting on parallel processes, and building clinical insight alongside trusted peers.

Large Group Supervision (Max 6) - $70 / 120 minutes

Structured, topic-oriented, and case-based. A great fit for therapists who thrive with shared learning and diverse clinical perspectives.

Drop-In Group (for active supervisees only) - $65 / 60 minutes

Ongoing, flexible support available for those already receiving supervision through PMP. Use it for case consults, documentation questions, or when you’re feeling stuck.

Who Is Supervision For

Supervision at Private Matters Psychotherapy is open to therapists at all stages of development, including:

  • Practicum students who need primary or supplemental supervision while completing their placement
  • Qualifying Registered Psychotherapists (RPQs) working toward independent practice
  • Registered Psychotherapists (RPs) and Registered Social Workers (RSWs) seeking ongoing clinical support, fresh insight, or help navigating complex work
  • Therapists in private practice who want structured, relational supervision without the isolation
  • Clinicians returning to the field or changing focus areas who want guidance and grounding

Whether you’re new to the work or refining your approach, supervision can offer the reflection, skill-building, and steady presence that make this work more sustainable.

How to Get Started

If you’re curious about supervision, reach out to begin. I’ll send a short intake form to learn about your goals, clinical background, and preferred format.

We’ll set up a free 20-minute consult to see if it’s a good fit and talk through options like individual, dyadic, or group supervision. If you decide to move forward, I’ll guide you through the onboarding process and supervision agreement.
