Education & Credentials
Brittany is pursuing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She has previously earned a graduate certificate in Forensic Practice with honours from Humber College, and a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with honours from Lakehead University. Additionally, Brittany has participated in supplementary training in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills, Non-violent Crisis Prevention and Intervention, and earned a Level 1 Certificate in Neurorehabilitation: Assisting Recovery and Function in Everyday Life Following Brain Injury.
Work Experience
Brittany has gained valuable experience at a not-for-profit organization, deepening her understanding of challenges faced by individuals from diverse backgrounds. Brittany provided support to people recovering from traumatic brain injuries, assisting them in managing anxiety, depression, and feelings of isolation, while helping them adjust to new life circumstances. She provided rehabilitation and social support services, focusing on community integration, problem solving, and fostering independence.
Brittany understands the importance of listening with empathy and without judgement, and recognizes the unseen struggles many individuals face. Inspired by the resilience and determination of those she works with, Brittany views it as a privilege to support those on their journeys toward self-understanding, healing, and personal growth.
Brittany is committed to community involvement. She has volunteered with the Canadian Mental Health Association, has fundraised for cancer research by taking part in the Ovarian Walk of Hope, and contributed her time volunteering for the Georgian Triangle Humane Society.

Brittany places a strong emphasis on mental wellness, believing a solid foundation for well-being is crucial for lasting change. She is passionate about understanding trauma and adversity, including challenges such as substance abuse, anxiety, depression, lack of motivation, and feeling stuck. Brittany likes to incorporate a range of evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring the approach to best suit each person’s needs.
Brittany strives to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable, safe, and empowered to grow by being compassionate and accepting of their true self. For Brittany, building trust is essential, and she is dedicated to taking time to understand each unique story. She believes that healing from trauma not only enhances relationships with others but deepens connections with ourselves.
Personal
Brittany sees the beauty in adventure and tranquility. She seeks new places and experiences, while also cherishing calm comforts, whether it be reading a good romance novel, gazing up at the stars, spending quality time with loved ones, or soaking in the energy of live music. A lifelong learner, Brittany is always seeking personal growth, whether through new experiences or stepping outside her comfort zone. She’s had the opportunity to backpack through France and Italy and looks forward to continuing her travelling journey while exploring other cultures in the future.
